CityStoreys runs in your phone browser. There is no app to install and no account to create.
Teams can have 1–4 players.
Solo play is allowed, but CityStoreys works best when your team talks and solves together.
More than four people? Book another team. You can play together or split up — whatever suits your group.
Yes. Each CityStoreys team can have up to four players, but one booking can include as many teams as you need.
One person completes the payment, and each team receives its own private link. Teams can play together, start at different times, or even play on different days.
The launch Story is $40 per player, tax included.

After payment, the purchaser receives a private team link by email.

A start window is the period when your team may begin. There is no fixed appointment time.
Begin during the published window so you have time for the route, official breaks and any locations that close along the way.

The launch Story is a substantial walk across multiple neighbourhoods, with official breaks built into the journey.
Every team has help.
Hint gives you a nudge. Lost helps you find the route again. Skip moves you past a clue.
Some extra help adds time to your score. Skipping adds a larger penalty, but the Story continues.

Official breaks are built into Stories. The timer stops while you sit down, refuel and resume when you are ready.

There are no actors, tour guides or group leaders.
Some Stories may involve brief interactions with staff at participating locations.
Bring at least one charged phone with mobile data, comfortable shoes and clothing suited to the forecast.
Water is a good idea in hot weather.
CityStoreys runs outdoors in ordinary weather.
If conditions are severe or unsafe, do not start. If weather affects your game during play, contact CityStoreys and we will help you rebook.
Real city routes change. Construction, stairs, crossings and venue access can affect play.
We aim to provide practical route notes and step-free alternatives where possible.

Children can join a team with an adult.
Children who enjoy spotting details and solving clues may have a wonderful time. The walking distance and duration will not suit every younger player.

Some official break locations may offer optional food or drink, but purchasing is not required to continue the Story.
